THE CHURCH by Sandi Wade-Janik 9-11-2017
By His grace, both Jew and Gentile who believe are saved by the precious blood of the Risen Lord and Savior, GOD’s Son Yeshua…Jesus Christ! In the book of Acts we read where Peter, inspired by the Holy Spirit, tells us to be baptized in the Name of Jesus, and receive His Holy Spirit!
Ephesians 2:18-22 For through Him (Jesus Christ) we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the LORD. 22 In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
For we are God’s fellow workers. 1 Corinthians 3:9 You are God’s field, God’s building!
His church is His people! Those saved are GOD’s building! Our bodies are a temple for His Holy Spirit, united in oneness with our Father in heaven through Christ our Risen Lord and Savior. We gather in homes and buildings to worship, learn and praise Him. We are advised in Acts 20:28 Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of GOD, which He obtained with His own blood. In Matthew 16:18 Jesus tells us, “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Rejoice friends! Praise the LORD on His every Word!
In these days as the days before us we have pleasure and we have troubles. But let us remember the words He gave us in Hebrew 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Colossians 3:16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
**So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. From whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
We must also pray for the discernment of spirits amongst us. Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, warns us: Romans 16:17-18 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naïve. Titus 3:9-10 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. 10 As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, 11 knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self condemned.
These people travel about misrepresenting the Word of GOD, slandering others amongst the Church, speaking false warnings against His children, creating undo trust in congregations for the purpose of breaking down, separating and destroying GOD’s church as they assemble in worship. We are told in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from GOD, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
We must allow His Holy Spirit to be our Helper to instruct us in the way we should go, to guide us in our worship, our behavior, our discernments, our prayers, our very being, uniting us as one in His Spirit, so that we are not led astray, but remain as a member functioning in the body of Christ. GOD’s Church has responsibility. We can not possibly hold to the responsibilities set before us by GOD, without His Spirit to help us. For what is impossible for man is possible with GOD.
James 2:26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of GOD, by who you were sealed for the day of redemption.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are GOD’s temple and that GOD’s Spirit dwells in you?
Father GOD we thank You for being with us and providing all our needs. We ask that Your Spirit give us wisdom as we go forth according to Your Word. Bless Your church, Your people with discernment, seeking forgiveness for our sins and repenting and renewing our minds to Your Will. Open our eyes and ears to recognize those the enemy sends to break us apart. Bless us, Your Church, O Lord, to rise up in voice, attitude, strength, boldness, courage and minds to be Christ Like in all that we do. Thank You for our Helper, Your Holy Spirit. For great is His power! There is no one like You, our Lord. Help us to grow bringing those in need of salvation to Jesus Christ…Yeshua our Risen Lord and Savior! In Jesus Christ’s Name we pray, praise, worship and Thank You…Amen. Let us rejoice for this is the day the Lord has made!
With much love in my heart for you,
